Trove Still Broken

I played Trove last night for almost 2 hours (I'm 32 - I don't have much video games time with a business, cats, girlfriend, booze, etc, etc). So when I get a chance to play I want to play. Trove is one that I get excited for. I sneak to the couch when the girlfriend is busy or it's boys night or whatever.

then I open Trove and if I don't get 1000+ people in queue and a wait time of 60 mins I get....

My brain understands that maintenance is needed to get the game on track and to deal with the larger issues, but still. This makes my inner nerd rage quit like you wouldn't be leave.  FIRE UP SOME AMAZON NODES AND LET ME PLAY MY GOD DAMN GAME.

How To Farm Flux

Alright, I’m one of those nerds that look up guides of an MMO on Youtube. I bet you are too. Trove guides always come up with farming flux. What the hell is flux?

Well – because Trove doesn’t have an actuation house or money really. Flux is the default currency. It’s used for upgrading your equipment.

So after checking a few Flux farming guides I figured out I did it all ready. Basically you go the the green novice portal - then run around and gather the purple ore. Run to the un-dead area - make sure you use your mount by hitting the Z key and running over any and all grass you see!

Scythe's in-depth Trove Beginners Guide & Tutorial

I’ve been looking all over for a good Trove intro tutorial. I’m no stranger to RPGs or MMOs, but Trove is a little different from what I’m used to.  This video by Scythe again is pretty awesome. It covers pretty much everything that you miss if you just run out in the world and start grinding dungeons like I did.

Then again I have been trying to play this week as Trove servers have been hammered just after the release and the login queue times are about 60 mins or the servers have been offline. This is a rocky start but the game is damn fun and it doesn’t have all the annoying crap that other massively multiplayer online role playing games (like world of Warcraft) seem to have.

Have a look and it will make getting into the awesomeness of Trove super quick and save you a bunch of time to get rocking.
